I can’t promise that my ramblings will be interesting or funny or clever. They will be connected to my work and my garden. I’ll try not to moan but I will post my opinions and experiences with natural health and skincare, nature and wildlife. Lulah will likely appear either in the text or image, probably mostly the latter. Des will hardly ever appear and I will very likely leave gaps between my blogs because I’m not very consistent with this sort of thing. If you make the odd comment, that would be very nice. Sorry that Lulah is out of focus in this photo but it’s hard to keep a cocker still for long.

Hello Marina
Love the new website and looking forward to the blogs about your wonderful work and life up there in beautiful Eskdalemuir. Tried your new shampoo bar which smells beautiful and also lasts forever, except when my teenage daughter goes in our shower room and thinks it is soap and tells me “Oh Mum that new soap is amazing it has made my skin so soft!”. Anyway I am a convert – no more big bottles of shampoo and so much easier when I am travelling abroad as it can go in my hand luggage.
Love everything you make – see you next time I’m at Samye Ling.
Wendy
Thanks so much for your feedback Wendy and I’m really glad you get on so well with our shampoo. Looking forward to meeting up again when you’re next here and hope you have a lovely time in Mull with your daughter…you could always direct her to our website to buy her own soap/shampoo! Marina xx
Hi Marina, love your cocker spaniel we have been getting a chocolate brown cocker spaniel pup (Barney) and I agree that you cant keep them still for long!!
I don’t know if you are the right person to ask but I suffer from restless legs, hence the reason I am on the internet at this ungodly hour. I purchased the muscular/joint fatigue oil in Melrose and I have just tried it for the first time as a last resort. I am not sure if it is taking any affect as yet, I was wondering if there is a better oil that would be good to relieve my restless legs. If you aren’t the person to ask I wonder if you would be able to point me in the right direction of Essential Spirit.
Many thanks
Dorothy Young
Hi Dorothy, I would advise that you take magnesium. You can take this as a supplement or tissue salt (buy from a good independent health shop). From one restless leg sufferer to another, it is very effective. Save the muscular massage oil for any aches and pains that you may have, its great for that. Best regards to you and Barney, Marina.
